SongWriting Inspiration

We know being stuck inside can take some of the inspiration out of you. So we are going to give you some tips of things you could do to help get the creative juices flowing!

  1. Grab an old newspaper or book and circle words that intrigue you and try to put them into a song

  2. Write a song in which they subject matter is your best and worst traits

  3. Describe a mundane object without ever explicitly saying what it is.

For example, a television: Sitting all day on the cabinet, red lights flash until I pay attention, and when I finally do I am bombarded with horrible stories, one button at a time.

This creates a really cool abstraction of mundane materials which can enhance your lyrics.

Enjoy! Hope this helps :)
