As a child, Miles Elkington was once told by a Spice Girl that he was ‘fanciable and cheeky’. Milku is his attempt to fulfil her prophecy.

Over the next decade, from his teen years sweating in Darwin to his current home of Sydney (where he plays guitar for Middle Kids), the sound of Milku was slowly born: part bedroom art-pop, part love letter to synthesisers and autotune and the New York indie bands of the early 00’s. To be bold and unafraid and bombastic. To be emotional and connected. To be known.

Since then, he has released two EPs, played Splendour in the Grass, SXSW and all the usual places you’d expect. In addition to producing his own material, he’s produced for artists Merci, Mercy, Redd, Logan, and other Australian up and comers, with a particular love for live instrumentation and writing the song that’s been sitting in the artist’s heart for a few years.

Music for Milku has always been a place where it’s ok to feel and have fun. He hopes you can find that place in these songs.
